Florida Hunt 10 Metal Detecting Fundraiser

Welcome to Florida Hunt 10… We are excited about this year’s hunt! Admission will be $100.00 for two days of detecting. Pre-register by December 25th and get registered to win your one choice of a $500.00 visa gift card, a hand-crafted custom Florida Hunt 10 knife box with 3 custom kitchen knives handcrafted and forged right here at Camp Freedom. Also included in the choices is a complete UGLY BOX SET with power pack, Ugly Book, a pair of AQUA-TEK submersible headphones (your choice of model) and a few TBA coins donated by sponsor DA Frank Lopergolo. We will have some ATV’s and trams making trips around the property all day Saturday. We will have a special meet and greet on Friday the 23rd at 5:30 p.m. at Camp Freedom. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be available. We will be seeding two different fields with some very cool coins and some vouchers for metal detectors, weapons, and knives etc. There will be a special kid section down at the beach with some cool prizes. There will be tons of vendors along with some special guests (to be announced later on this fall). There will be food for sale on site both Saturday and Sunday. We will also be putting up a 40×60 tent so you can take a break in the shade, have lunch or dinner, and go over some of the things you find. For those of you that haven’t been here before we will be having access to over 700 acres. We also have a 22-acre lake if you would like to bring your magnet for some cool fishing. Video and maps of the property will be posted on this site and Florida hunt 10th Facebook page later this fall. Between Soldiers Freedom Outdoors and Florida hunt 10 we will be putting out an estimated $5,000 worth of goodies to be found. As always, all the proceeds raised will go back to supporting our veterans here at Camp Freedom! We are looking forward to having you all back and look forward to meeting each new face. Soldiers Freedom Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2011 and became a public charity in 2014.
Soldiers Freedom Outdoors is dedicated to serving our active-duty and service veterans. Since our inception, SFO has provided eco therapy (nature therapy) to thousands of soldiers, regardless of gender, branch or length of service.
We have helped change the lives of many suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and re-connected them with the healing power of nature. Some of our heroes have said our program saved their lives… powerful testimonies like that make us work harder than ever to meet our soldier’s needs, and gives us confidence we are making a difference.

I travel to many events each year but the Florida Hunt is my top event. I am a retired Air Force veteran married to a retired Air Force veteran. Between my wife and myself we have almost 45 years of military service. We are also a Gold Star Family having lost our oldest son in Afghanistan ten years ago. In helping to heal other veterans we are also helping to heal ourselves. As John noted above Florida Hunt is dedicated to helping promote and fund a non-profit organization called Soldiers Freedom Outdoors. This amazing event is put on each year and the feel and vibe of being there is like no other organized metal detecting event I’ve ever attended.
